Zoom H1 file error 0kb filesize
I recently reformatted my memory cards via my android phone and used it in my Zoom H1. Afterwards recording a file, it shows filesize 0 kb and I can't get it to playback anywhere. I'm guessing there's no way I can recover the file I recorded right? I had used microSD cards from my phone before so that's why I thought it would be ok but now I know to reformat in my Zoom.

Min,
There are often card recovery applications for free download. Check to see if one exists for your card. Perhaps that would be able to recover this file. Hopefully it's reporting 0 and everything is there. Hope you didn't do what I did one day and assume that the blinking light indicated recording when i fact it meant standby - I ended up with 0 that day for real. Hope you can get the data! Harry

If the H1 is like many of the other digital recorders, a removable memory card must be formatted or re-formatted within the device to function properly, as I guess you have leaned the hard way.
It may be possible to recover the recorded material, as was stated, or by using a data recovery app. like Piriform's free Recuva. ( though I have not tried it in that sequence ) |
