DualEyes

Are all you PC users happy with DualEyes audio sync. I'm using the 30 day trial and plan to but at $150 after the first of the year. So far it's been great. I drop the AVI clips into a "project folder along with one WAV file and it automatically matches the audio from the WAV to the clip and even replaces the audio in the AVI clip seamlessly.......for those using dual audio capture like me with the ZOOM 4n this is a great timesaver.
Any other experiences with this I should know about before I plop down the cash?

At events with cameras at varying distances you may have to massage the video a few frames forward or backward, being that sound travels slower than light. Not DualEyes fault of course, the sound has always synced perfectly for me, even with the internal mic of a Vixia, in a glass booth, 100' away from the stage. when it worked on that. I was sold.

The only thing I wish is that the multiclip function was smart enough to sync, then make sequences of the synced clips, then multiclip. As it stands, it does not work if one part of the video (such as an on-stage cam) has multiple clips, but another cam (such as an archive angle) has just one long clip. Of course, all you have to do is save those out, bring them back in, then multiclip. I am using FCP in this case, so I don't know if you care. Also, I might totally be missing something ;p

I agree, and that feature is on the roadmap for a future version.
