Sennheiser K3U
Hi I have been working to restore a ME80 K3U short shotgun mic. For the most part its working great with 48V. But when I power it with the internal battery, I get bad noise on the on off switch - shorting sounds. I cleaned it, but I think the switch is bad. Anyone have an old K3 laying around you want to sell me? I could try to fix the switch, but I can't figure out how to remove the circuit board from the mic bezel. The switch sticks up through the bezel and the board slides out the end, catching the switch, I don't want to push it down for fear of detroying it. Any suggestions?
Thanks Dave B

Contact Sennheiser USA , they would be more than happy to fix it.
Their prices are reasonable and they do a thorough job, back to factory specs. In my experience with an ailing wireless, took about a week, including round-trip ground shipping. But I'm relatively close to Sennheiser USA in Old Lyme, CT. Sennheiser USA - Repair |
