Note that this update only affects the INPUTS, as noited in the first post, not the onboard mics, whose levels are still ganged together. Still a very nice update.

H4n Recorder Firmware update issue
I have the same problem.I updated to firmware 1.7 and everything seamed normal,but when i go to the menu,some of the feature are gone.I can't find the mode button,and others.i can't switch to mp3 or wave,and i can't switch to 4 channels or MTR mode.How do you restore this thing?

Same problem
I'm having a similar problem too. I followed directions just like it said, but it doesn't give me the added feature it says it would. Also, what is this about turning the power on with play/pause button???? That doesn't work!!!

Problem solved
Warren,turning stamina off worked.It seamed that with the 1.6 firmware,before i updated,this menu showed with the stamina mode on.But i might be wrong!:-)

To put it another way.... 1. Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button. 2. Actuate the power slide switch. 3. Once the unit turns on, release the PLAY/PAUSE button and power switch. Last edited by Mark Watson; January 1st, 2011 at 04:57 PM. Reason: spelling |
