As a test I took the one-hour clips into Soundtrack Pro, then used "Time Stretch" to shorten the R44's media by three frames. It sync'd up nicely. And with just 3 frames out of 60 minutes, there's no perceptible quality loss.
This was for a discussion forum. Music might be a different matter, although with an adjustment that slight I doubt it would be noticeable.
