dr-680 standby battery drain?
Does anyone else have a dr-680? I loaded up mine with freshly charged eneloop batteries and it showed up as full. My setting in the system menu is dialed to "nimh".
I turned the unit off and went to use it 4 hours later and the battery lasted for 2 minutes then died. I replaced the batteries, did a few takes, turned it off and picked it up again a few hours later and the batteries were near dead. I replaced it with a full set and went straight into recording. Worked for several hours and the battery showed half charged. Turned it off, drove home, booted it up and the battery was flat. Has anyone else had an issue with the dr-680 drinking batteries while off? Strange. cheers, -a |

I run mine on an external battery pak on the coaxial power connector. it will kill the pak eventually, but not over that short of a time period. all I can say is don't use the internal battery holder..
