Issues with Samson UM1/77 Mic

Hi all,

I am having some issues with my Samson UM1/77 wireless mic and need to figure out if it's the transmitter or the cord/mic itself. It will work just fine, but movement causes it to cut out. It comes back in at random times (movement or no movement). Sometimes there's static along with the cutting in and out.

Can anyone suggest how to figure out if I need to just trash the whole thing or try to just replace the mic itself?

Thanks!

Hi BJ,
You are probably getting wireless interference. Since the UM1/77 is a single channel system things will probably get worse as time goes on (Cell Phone RFI DTV etc.). I would trash it and get something that has the ability to scan for clear frequencies.
