BNC to TRS for timecode
I'm trying to send timecode from my EX3 - which has BNC timecode outputs - to my Metric Halo ULN-8, which has 1/4" TRS (balanced) SMPTE Input. Any suggestions on how to wire up cable/connectors to do this?
Thanks. --Nathan Lawrence |

I haven't used a Metric Halo ULN-8 but typically, BNC/Coax to TRS (or line level XLR)
Center conductor 'Hot'> Tip (XLR pin-2) Shield> Ring (XLR pin-3) (or tie Ring to Sleeve, XLR= tie pin-1 & 3 together) Shield> Sleeve/ground (XLR pin-1) However a few manufacturers' recommend floating the Ring / XLR pin-3 on their products when inputting an un-balanced signal. |
