Edirol R-4 lanc control via RS422 device? at DVinfo.net

I've searched the forum and the web for an answer and came up with nothing. Hopefully you guys can help.

The Edirol R-4 has a lanc control for use with cameras with that feature.

I'm planning a shoot with a camera tethered to a computer with a Blackmagic Decklink card with RS422 capablilities. Obviously, the RS422 is there to allow control of RS422 devices from Media Express.

Here's the question.

Is anyone aware of a cable or adapter that would allow control of the Edirol R-4 via the Decklink's RS422 controller? All I'm looking for is start and stop to help with audio sync in post.

Turns out Addenda Electronics makes such a gadget, but it costs $150! Wow!

I'll keep looking, but if anyone has another solution I'd appreciate it.
