The FCC has previously prohibited the sales of new wireless mics in the 700mHz band late in 2008 and had announced an operation ban of existing mics would be forthcoming. The new news is that the ops ban is definite and the announcement of the effective date as this coming June. Previous prevailing belief was that if you already had a 700mHz kit you could probably get away with using it for a number oi years yet, now it looks like they're going to get hard-a**ed about it sooner than folks expected.
