Decent Wireless Lapel Mic
Hi people, newbie here:
I recently bought a GL2 and I'm trying to work out a decent audio solution since I'm not satisfied with the onboard mic (who is?). I'm ordering a Rode Videotec on recommendation from many people on these boards, but I'm also looking for a small lapel mic that I can use for interviews and the such. Wireless would be great, but I'd settle for a good wired one. Any thoughts on a good one for a decent price? I'm looking in the sub-$200 range. Thanks! |

For sub 200.00, I'd be looking at either the AT 831 or the Giant Squid. Just got the Squid's today, and I'm impressed in the short time I've been playing with them.

Thanks for that. I'm looking into the Giant Squid - out of curiosity, which one did you buy? Cardioid or omnidirectional, powered or unpowered - which one do you think would be best for me?
