Canon XH-A1 Sound recoding question
I just started making 20 minute edited videos for prospective college bound student atheltes. The video part is pretty easy. However when I have the athelete introduce themselves in the beginning of the video how do I turn off the built in camera microphone and only use the clip on microphone pluged into either mic 1 or 2? Thanks

Rob, what make of clip on mic do you have, does it require 48volts and does it have an XLR plug. (btw this should be in the Canon XH-A1 forum) Cheers.

If it is a mic with a small jack plug, it automatically cuts out the inbuilt mic.
If it is an XLR mic, you have to select it in the menu that automatically cuts out any other mic. If you don't go through the menu, it keeps recording through the onboard mic.
