Best external mic for Edirol / Roland R-09HR

Just wondering if anyone uses this with an external lav and what they have. Thanks!

I use an Audio-Technica ATR35a, remarkably inexpensive but quite serviceable. It plugs directly to the minijack on the R09. One thing to watch, it uses a button battery. If you put it in backward the mike works -- badly --- and people think it's broken in reviews I've read. Actually, it works very well...found mine on Amazon.../Battle Vaughan
