Monitoring on Ediriol R-44
Is it possible to monitor levels and such without recording? I can't seem to hear any audio unless the device is actually recording.

As far as I can tell you have to be recording to monitor audio or preset levels.
However you can push the "Record" and "Pause" buttons at the same time to go into Record standby. Then you will be able to monitor your audio and set your levels before recording. |

@Jim Hanks-yep that's the way to do it. The manual is great to read its not some crazy stuff so its very understandable. I used one of those on a Reality shoot actually two of them. The sounds are amazing. Also might want to look into the Oade Brothers upgrade.
