Hey thanks for the feedback on the Azden mixer Battle Vaughan, I appreciate it.

Ok Steve, so I did the test setup as per your instructions and the results were that the AT803 Lav works much better running via phantom power. It is now so much more responsive it is amazing. As for the Sony it is still no good.. I really think the Sony is simply defective.

I haven't tested the cables yet but I'll do that as well just to be on the safe side.

Double check the battery in the Sony again, make sure it's not installed backwards and is making a solid connection.
