Audio Software Plays Sounds On Cue
I'm looking for audio software that with a touch of a keyboard button or some type of timeline a sound effect or piece of audio is played.
I'm basically trying to have my computer plugged into a mixer to have sound effects or audio play during a school play. I got it to play audio to my mixer through stereo jacks but I need it to play a specific sound during different times of play without having to double click on the file or the next track in a play list. I own a copy of audition but I think it might be over kill for something like this. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for sound effect software? Thanks, Anthony |

PCDJ red is one that DJ's might use to cue up next tune. You can set an overlap and crossfade if you want.Fairly simple to use.I dunno if this is what your after.

For the Mac OSX Platform, Alphabet Soup is just what you need.

Alphabet Soup is exaclty what I need but I was hoping for something like that for the PC instead. We do have Macs here but they're eMacs and I wanted to use a laptop instead. The area I have to work with is limited.
Anything like this for the PC. Anthony |

If you are trying to make sound effects and loops ACID is quite good.
If you you have a list of effects or songs or whatever ,that you want to play back with keyboard control check out the PCDJ |

Thank you all. I did most of my loops and sound effects in acid mixing different beats and effects and created tracks.
However, SCS is exactly what I was looking for. Great program for what I need. Thanks again. |
