Mixer to 'puter

Hooking Eurorack MX 602A to computer using Edirol UA-1A as a USB interface to record VO into Vegas.
No problem minitoring mic signal at mixer.
But can't get signal onto Vegas timeline.
Checked under audio tab in Vegas capture,---UA-1A shows up along with SoundMax as options,---but both are greyed out.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Vegas capture only captures the information coming from a camera.

You can record voiceovers within Vegas by just arming an audio
track for recording and then hitting the little play button.

Make sure this soundcard of yours is listed under preferences
as the device to record from.
