Any reviews yet on the NTG-2
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has come across any reviews yet of the NTG-2? Doughlas Spotted Eagle how have you found the mic? Are you planning on doing a review at all? Cheers Robert |

I've done a review, it's in for fact check. It's not at all a bad mic. A step up from the Azden by far, but it's also not the 897 killer it has been purported to be. Nice mic though...for what it's supposed to be, it's a very nice step into this world for Rode.

Interesting take.
If the 897 is no 416, what does that say about the ntg-2? I have the ntg-1 and ntg-2 here. I'll hopefully be able to get to them shortly. Regards, Ty Ford |

Ty, I thought the comparison sample you recorded recently with the 897 and 416 was excellent.
A comparative sample of the NTG-2 and the 897 would also be of great help, as these two are supposed to be direct competitors. Looking forward to the review(s),

You wouldn't happen to have a link to said file with the 897 would you?

It’s on Ty’s site. In the Online Archive section, click Audio Samples and then Audio.
