On Camera Mic at DVinfo.net

Hello,

I'm looking for an on-camera mic for my old Sony mini-dv. The dialogue I'll have to pick up will be within 15 feet in front of the camera (indoor/outdoor). My budget is under $200.

You might want to try the Rode VideoMic at about $149. It is gaining a good reputation at this price level, but remember that even the very best of mics will not perform well at 15 feet.
