AKG SE300B seems hard to find
Ive been listening to all the mic samples from Matt G. and Bryan B. I really like the sound and modular design of the AKG ck93 but it seems that the mic body SE300B is hard to find online. B&H sells the capsules(special order) but I cant seem to find the body alone. I would assume that the price is about $250 for the SE300 and $160 or so for the capsule since Bryan had mentioned that it costs about $400. Where can I pick up one of these systems when the time comes for my purchase??

They're not as widely available as other brands, but sometimes it's just because the search terms don't pick it up as easily. Sometimes it's referred to as a preamp or some other odd term like on musiciansfriend.com
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/241033/ Trew Audio, Bradley Broadcast, Bayview Pro Audio and other's carry it and/or the capsules. |
