Peak does this, Forge does this, most any editing app will do this. Heck, I think you can drop it into iTunes and do it there too, can't you?

Thanks Douglas-- I have converted mp3 in FCE to aif (48,000) but when I put the aif back in FCE the cut skips and pops. The only clean sound I have gotten is straight aif downloads which take forever on my slow connection. Grant

Spot,
How do you do in iTunes? Doesn't iTunes convert it to ACC format? I've always wondered and never figured it out. Thanks! Clay P.S. Grant, there are several programs (shareware/freeware) that do this specific task...I'm on my PC at work...Mac is at home so I can't give you the exact programs...sorry. A google search should yeild some good results.

Quicktime Pro does it too. It's pretty cheap.

In iTtunes - Preferences/Importing/Import using AIFF/ Setting - Custom 48k-16 bit - stereo. Add song to library and hit import and your done.

No problem. I usually use quicktime pro for this as well but iTunes is free and it does the job.
