help audio setings

Hallo

How to use the RODE NTG-2, phantom or battery, along with Sennheiser 100G?If you connect Rode to PHANTOM 48V the videocamera, sound recorded with Rode became more strident from SENNHEISER 100G
Thanks

I'm sorry, please try your question again. Are you saying that when you turn on phantom power on the chanel with the Rode, it somehow affects the quality of sound you're getting from the Sennheiser wireless you have connected to another separate channel, the WIRELESS channel sounds different depending on whether you use phantom power or battery with the Rode on another channel????

It might indicate your battery might be weak. The Rode specs indicate that the mc has a slightly different output impedance when on phantom versus battery and that could possibly cause a slght level difference. In any case, if all you notice is it's slightly louder on phantom than it is on battery, what's the problem? You should be able to adjust them with the input level controls on the camera. And if not, levels in your final program aren't locked in by the levels recorded when you shoot anyway, you can always adjust them during post. Now if turning on phantom to the shotgun cause the level to change in the WIRELESS that's completely isolcated on the other channel, that's kind of strange.

Some powering schemes are antagonistic. Could be the pair don't like the NTG battery power and Senny plugon power together.
