At the link you included there is no indication what the outputs are. You want line out, unless you have a separate deck with digital outputs. Sharp minidiscs are supposed to have better preamps if you're buying new, but I don't have first hand knowledge about that. I think the preamp in my Sony MZ-N10 sounds really good, but that's what they say. You also want a unit that allows you to adjust the gain while the minidisc is recording. You can read more about individual recorders at www.minidisc.org. $110 is not a lot of money for a minidisc recorder, so this could be a good price, but I would make sure it has the features you need.

Quality-wise it should be OK. You should note two things about it, though:
1) I donŽt believe it has a mic input (click on the "features" tab). I think the next one up (MZN 710 or so) has a mic input. 2) This kind of MD rarely has a dedicated line output. YouŽll need to use the headphone out instead, which may add some noise.
