Quality of original Sennheiser EW100 series

Any thoughts on the quality of the units and sound from the original Sennheiser EW100 series bodypack transmitter (SK100) and receiver (EK100). This would be the set before the G2 series. I have seen them go for as low as $160 for the set on ebay. Are they worth spending up to $230 on?

thanks,
Duane

Sound quality of G1 was almost as good as G2 - but G2 has a wider frequency response (and G3 even wider).

The switching bandwidth on G1 was 24MHz, G2 is 32MHz and G3 is 42MHz - 2000 series (replaces G2 500/550 series) is a massive 75MHz.

Be careful when buying, there were loads of G1 fakes around, some being sold as second-hand reconditioned, so be careful.
