How Do I sync EX1 to protools DIGI002
How Do I sync EX1 to protools DIGI002?
Clapper is sure good but time consuming. How do I use analogue timecode for this? |

I don't know about the PT DIGI002, but if LTC was also recorded on an audio track, many Avid NLEs can transpose it, and place it in the timeline with the ability to render a BWF or OMF. Don't know about FCP. I think I read the FCP-6 can do this also. Then, you may also need the PT $1200 digital translator to read TC or open an OMF... again, I'm not familiar with DIGI002 so this may not be the case.
Your other option is wild syncing with the camera mic or reference audio track... if it was recorded. |

Even timecode workflows will slate every take.

I don't have an EX1, so I don't know what it likes to receive for sync. But when I've needed to slave stuff (like MIDI sequencers) to Pro Tools via the 002... I just import a pre-recorded region of SMPTE (so Pro Tools is the master) and feed that signal out to whatever I want to have chase it (in my case, that's usually a Midi Time Piece).
