Royalty Free Music Please
Anyone know of some good sources of royalty free soundtrack material. I dont really want to get involved in licensing and all that crap, surely there must be a source where i can buy music or audio elements and not worry about royalties?
Thank you please. PS Where's Amanda?

www.magnatune.com
www.sounddogs.com you can use ACID, Soundtrack, or Smartsound/Sonic Fire if you have a little creative bent. Also, I've had great success by writing to composers on the www.acidplanet.com site and asking about using their music.

I checked Acid Planet. That's a great site. When downloading a song, what format's do you have a choice of format's do you have (have not tryed downloading yet)?
I found a wonderful song on there that I think would complement my video great. What's the best way to contact the artist? - AR |

Usually, the artist's email or contact info is on the page with the piece. If not, you might try mailing the webmaster with a note that he can pass on to the author, but it's pretty rare the author's email or other contact can't be found there, unless they've changed the format recently due to the Sony buyout.
FWIW, we've got an ACID training tour out in March and April this year. http://www.vasst.com for more information.

Thanks for the reply Mr. Eagle.
I know it sounded like a stupid question but I figured you might know a better way to contact them. Thanks. |
