Oktava 012 fan club(accesories)
Can someone point me to locations to purchase the hypercardiod capsule? I saw that soundroom.com sells them for $64. That's not terrible, but it's almost what I paid for the body, the cardioid capsule, the pad, and a cute little box.
I'm also wondering about wind protection. I'm considering the Rycote babyball gag and windjammer, but if anyone else has a setup they like, I'd love to hear about it. |

the soundroom is checking each of the capsuls they are selling so you can be sure that you are buying the right cat with the spefications wich have to be for it .
all athers saling the same brand without know if it worth the metal that the mike made from ,if you have one that working perfectly you won the lottery. time for bring you normal product cost more in states then in Tula, but no one is probably doing it there since 50% or more of this brand you can put in the garbich can 64 $ for good hiper is nothing if you compare it to 640$ hi[per that i use |

Have you done business with The Soundroom?
Do you trust they really check them out, or are you just going by what they say on their website? |

The soundroom seems trustworthy because of the simple fact that audio Guru's like Jay Rose and Jerry R often recommend them as a place to get mics. If they were dodgy I doubt they'd get even a sideways glance.

Dave and Aaron have a clip of Oktava vs THE on the way.
Yes, the sound room is a legit outfit. Taylor Johnson is building the THE mic's that I'm trying. Taylor started and built the Sound Room reputation by being very quality conscious. You will pay ,more but the product is carefully selected. I dealt with a canadian dealer, so anyone on my side of the border is welcome to email me for the info beaser_at_eudoramail_dot_com. or bbeasleigh_at_rogers_dot_com. One thing I ask is never forward anything with my email addy. i always BCC people so no one can get someone elses email. |
