Corning 700 series fiberglass
I'm trying really hard to purchase some corning 703. I'm having no luck finding anyone who caries it. I called corning and they told me I would have to get it from a contractor; and that there aren't any in my area.
Does anyone know of a place to purhcase this or any other rigid fiberglass in Texas? I can travel to S.A., Houston, or DFW. Or would anyone want to go in with me on a Truck Load? That's what corning told me was the minimum requirement to become a dealer. |

Darn good question.
I guess we could go into business making sound absorption panels. Or we could cover the walls of a full size studio.* I think the girl on the phone was just trying to put me off. But, I think I found a solution, without starting a new business: I spoke with Johns Manville a competitor of Owens-Corning, and they put me in touch with a dealer in nearby Pflugerville who offered to order their comparable product for me. Johns Manville's product is called Insula-Guard and has nearly identical acoustical properties to Corning's 700 series. *Both the studios where I work (very nice ones) have what appears to be Corning 703 covering all the walls and ceiling. |
