Adapter for JVC DV500
I would like to use my me66 shotgun on a jvc500, I have no problem with using the mic on a vx2000. But the mic set up is different on the JVC. I have tried to search for the mic adapter with no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi Ronald,
JVC makes a shock mount that fits into the two screw holes on the right side of the camera, about midway to the handle. But for a few dollars more, Lightwave makes a much better unit. Look them up on the net... I've heard rycote bought them, but I don't know if it is true. I'm going to be selling my gy dv500, and taking the lightwave mount, which I used with an me66, off for sale seperatly. If you're interested, please email me. It has seen light field use and is abou 12 months old in perfect condition. John |

Ronald,
Take John's offer on the Lightwave mount since it is probably one of the best on-camera mounts out there. |

I second that. Those things are worth their weight in gold.
