Better mic for the G2
I have the G2 Wireless system and it performs well but the quality of the mic is poor. I'm comparing it to the mic that came with my older AKG PT81.
With the PT81 prospective customers are clearly impressed with the audio. Even I am amazed every time I hear the rich full sound. With the G2 system voices are hollow and cold. What are some (if there are any) <$300 options for a better quality mic? |

The recommended upgrade is the Sennheiser MKE 2-ew-gold.
Very very much better than the supplied ME 2 mic.

We bought Tram mikes for our G2 kits (B&Hphotovideo.com lists the version that is made with the proper plug for Sennheiser, sorry, I can't put my hands on the specific model). They aren't cheap but they are excellent.
