Sennheiser mic car question.

In a few days I'm having my bluetooth pioneer ipod player yanked out of my dying minivan and put into my old biodiesel burning mercedes. I noticed the pioneer uses a 1/8inch jack for a mic.

I'm wondering if I use my senn Gw2 mic in there (I have countrymans) instead of the mic pioneer provided if there might be a little more mic quality for those listening on the other end. I'll have no way to test, just curious what those in the know think. If nobody has any guesses I'll probably throw it in there anyway just to see what happens.

I would guess it would work. A few months ago I plugged my G2's MK2 into a 3.5mm input MD and sent it down the rapids on a travel show. Sounded ok.

Certainly sounded OK when I plugged an ME2 into my Olympus LS-10. But only recorded one channel of course.
