Rode blimp shotgun windshield???
Does anyone have experience with this windshield system?
Rode | Blimp - Complete Windshield and Suspension System | BLIMP I wonder how effective this is against wind; It is almost half the price of a Rycote system. Best Regards, Andres. |

Yes I've been using the Blimp for about 3 months, it blocks all wind.
Cheers. Last edited by Allan Black; November 10th, 2008 at 07:37 PM. |

I think I must've got one of the first to arrive in the UK, and very nice it is too. Haven't had a lot of chance to try it out (any wind here has been accompanied by very heavy rain recently) but it seems to be well built and my tests with a fan (and blowing on it!) have been good.

To add I am using the rode pistol grip and WS6 dead rats with my camera mic and NTG-1, they are great value and very well made so the blimp will be very good too.
John at Pink Audio has them in stock and is a great guy to deal with as he knows his stuff:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RODE-SUPERB-NE...1%7C240%3A1318
