Mixing Question
I am playing with my SD 302 Mixer and just love this thing, but do have a questions.
How do you mix for applause? I mean if you let that be your peak, then the rest of the audio is so much lower. Do you just adjust the fader when the applause comes and set the rest of the audio for the peak, like a cough etc. Thanks |

Sounds like you might not have it miced properly. If the 'rest of the audio' is speech on stage it should be miced with cardioid mic(s) to get clear dialogue that has presence. That's what you adjust your levels for.
The audience applause should then be off mic and if it's loud enough can be handled by the 302s limiters. Cheers. |
