Tutorial for Wireless Set-Up, Proper Levels
I'd like to locate a good tutorial from beginning to end on setting up a lav mic on the HD100U and getting proper levels. Project requires mixed audio levels average -8db (-12 min to -6 max) and music levels approx. 16 db.
My current mic, nothing fancy, puts out some hiss. I think it is the mic due to it not being the best but I want to make sure it's not something I have set incorrectly. I know the quality of the mic needs to be better than what I am currently using still I want to go thru and reset everything once more using the correct guide to see if I missed something. Thanks, Lisa |

I'd guess it's the quality of the mic or the wireless. There might be hiss from setting the wireless level too low. Look at the level meters on the wireless and confirm that they're above -20 or so for dialogue. Otherwise the hiss shouldn't be caused by low levels.
