"Snowball" mic

Apple is marketing a USB connected 2 cardiod position microphone made by Blue mics. Anyone had any experience with this mic for VOs?

Ed,

Here is a good review of the mic from last year. I've not used one but heard very, very good feedback.

I've used it for VO a few times .... it's not a bad mic. You might like to compare it to the Røde Podcaster first though.

Cool. I didn't know about this one. I have seen others but always passed because there was no way to effectively monitor.

very cool. No latency. Decent headphone amp. I used ribbons, dynamics and condensers.

I recently bought the Snowball Mic by Blue, and I haven't put it through any sort of rigorous tests, and I don't have the ability to speak of its overall professional quality, but just on a basic voiceover level, it works wonderfully.

That review that is linked above helped make the choice for me. For its price, the snowball is hard to beat.

Snowball USB mic

Thanks Mike, for the link. Read it and bought the mic. List on the link is $139.00, Apple stores sell it for $100.00.
