I want to make a custom cable for a stereo mic

I have a Sony ECM MS957 stereo microphone. It has a five pin XLR output connection and comes with a cable that has a female 5 pin XLR connector at one end and a male 3.5mm stereo connector at the other end.

I have been trying to find the pin assignments at the XLR end, so that I can make a cable similar to a few that are sold out there, which will provide me with two male 3-pin XLR connectors to connect it to my field mixer, and enable me to add other microphones to the mix as well.

There is a cable sold by Audio-Technica that likely does the trick, which is intended for use with their AT825 stereo microphone. I assume that the Sony is wired in exactly the same manner as the Audio-Technica microphone, and the cable would work. The cable sells for $60.00 though, and I am not really keen to spend that much money to gain this capability. Does anyone out there have such a cable, or know of them, that would be willing to tell me how that cable is circuited? I am assuming that the 5-pin xlr connector is balanced in addition to being stereo, and there are components in the cable that I own which enable the conversion to unbalanced stereo 3.5mm.

If I can avoid adding additional adapters to go from the 3.5mm stereo connector back to two XLRS, I am sure that there will be a huge improvement in sound quality.

At the moment, I can't take a look at the microphone or the cable that I have, as they are hanging high above a stage, and can't be disturbed for a week or so, until my shoot is finished.

Thanks.
