Best Shotgun/XLR Adapter combo?

Looking at the Rode NTG-2 and a beachtek adapter for an HV20; anyone got any different suggestions or reasons to stay away?

You might want to look into a Juicedlink, more bang for the buck and a pretty good pre-amp.
