Having a hard time finding COS-11's.
I'd like to buy a pair of COS-11's for my sennheiser G2's wired to 1/4 inch plugs but I'm having no luck. BH and TREW are out and I'd like them for a shoot later next week. Anybody know where I might find some? I would prefer using a DVI sponsor but if there's none available free to PM me. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure Coffey Sound has them.
http://www.coffeysound.com/home.php?cat=42 And probably also Location Sound. http://www.locationsound.com/proaudio/ls/index.html Both are TOP NOTCH places. People who work there have every industry award you can think of. Last edited by Peter Moretti; February 20th, 2008 at 05:11 AM. |

That's ironic, just last week I ordered another Lectro 411 system from Trew along with a COS-11. But, as Peter mentioned either Coffey or Location can hook you up I'm sure.

I'm still having no luck. I'm hoping to find a COS11xpt with a 1/8inch jack. Coffey doesn't carry the Cos 11xpt and location only has cos11xpt with a pigtail.

Matt:
Did Trew not have the mic? If they have it, they should be able to wire it up for you. I have to get the COS11 rewired for the TRX900. It's not something they stock, but they should be able to rewire it for you. Wayne

sensitivity?
Ok Now he founds his way to the Cos-11 another question:
I have the Sanken COS11s-BP that is with xlr /battery module. I need an awful lot of preamping on the mixer to receive a strong signal. Now I read that the Cos-11s-BP version has a sensitivity of 6.0 Mv/1pa and the Cos-11s is 17.8Mv/1Pa.. (are you with me..? good!) On the mixer the master set to 0VU , I need to full open the channel for the Cos-11s BP to have a good signal with the mic on chest. Full open = noise. |

I believe the Cos11xpt is with a pigtail. Then it needs to be wired to the connector you want. Location Sound (and Trew if they have the COS11xpt) can wire it any way you want.
