I don't see it as an issue becuase on my tripod I can make the adjustment back to normal - if I were handheld it does not feel too much different.

The Beachtek unit body lines up exactly with the front of the underside of the A1 (for perspective)

lol, I didn't think i'd be buying a bechtek for the A1.
