Looking for high quality Chinese(?) drum sound
I need one drum. Thats it. Think movie trailers, when they have that really dramatic deep resonating drum beat that sets the mood of anticipation and anxiousness. Anyone have a drum sound like that? I tried the Cubase LE demo but couldn't even figure out how to add sound never mind search their library. I also tried the Reason demo with the same outcome, the programs aren't for novices. Any help would be great. Thanks.

No, i want the drums, not gong. Watch the trailer for Fearless on the bottom of the Media page. Half way through when he falls in the water....that kind of drum.
http://www.fearlessthemovie.com/ I will search for other examples. They may also be considered war drums....like epic movies of the old days when armies of 15,000 warriors head to war http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pki6jbSbXIY The company name comes on with a similar sound

Does it have to be Chinese (i.e. period- and region-authentic), or could you use something like a Japanese Taiko drum? Also check for any timpani sounds that may fit the bill.

Thanks. Will he expect payment for one drum? Also the Taiko drums are very similar to the chinese style ones. If you`ve seen House of Flying Daggers, she plays a bunch of them in an extended scene using her sleeves, very deep rich booming sound. Thats what I`m looking for
