Senn, Sony or AT lav for HVR A1U?
I've been following the many threads on wireless UHF lavs with great interest and it seems that for a $500 system (my budget) the Senn Evolution G2 100, Sony UWP C1 or ATW 1811 are all considered quite good for the price. Ok, so my choices are narrowed, but which one?
The Senn gets great reviews but is the only one of the three that is not diversity--is this something I should be concerned about? Although some claim that the Sony isn't real diversity either. The AT is also recommended but it takes 6 AA batteries (vs. 2) and is much heavier than the others (I would be using this on a Sony HVR A1U, which is quite small). Would the Sony be the best bet for use on a Sony camera, in terms of weight, attaching receiver to camera, etc? Any advice or suggestions? Thanks! |

G'day Nicolas,
I use the Sony UWP system which uses 2x AA batteries. Its really light weight and I have no issues with the sound at all. Is that $500 USD? I also use this system on a HVR-A1P and it doesnt seem to add mcu more weight to an already ligh camera. Sean. |
