Exporting HDV in PP2 ?
I'm using 2.4GHz P4 and rendering preview from 4.5 min video (1440x1080@50i from XL H1) with one cc in each clip takes about 2 hours.
Is there something wrong or is PP2 really this slow? Is CS3 any faster? I've also tried to export the video to quicktime for further compressing it to h.264 with Mac, but at least with 1440x1080@50i & Blackmagic 10bit codec PP2 reports: Export error. Error compiling movie. Unknown error. (How informative!) Is it possible to export hdv sequence in any way to 10bit uncompressed file? |

Don't know about the Blackmagic issue, but your computer is well below the minimum system spec requirements for HD editing in PPro 2 (3.4GHx P4). Sorry to say, but the only way you'll get snappy performance editing HD is to get a much faster computer.
