50Hz Fluorescent light flicker on 60i footage
We are shooting in HDV 60i while here we have 50Hz power. The footage we captured from two days' filming is showing flickering in areas of the background that were lit by fluorescent tubes (not the areas lit using the incandescent redheads). The flickering happens at a rate of 10 cycles per second (every 3rd frame). Funnily 4 people did not not notice any problem on the monitor while filming was in progress!
Any ideas how to get rid of it, please? We're using Premiere Pro 2.0 and using the settings for HDV 1080i 30 (Sony 60i). |

On another day's shoot I found the flicker does not show on the LCD monitors we use (the camera's inbuilt screen and the Dell LCD monitor). Only when captured or the tape played back on the camera's monitor does the flicker show!

I experienced the same effect, and I don't like it. I red on some threads that says to shoot at 1/100. I will try that.
