Contour Shuttle Pro V2 settings
I received my Contour Shuttle Pro v2 the other day and loaded the software drivers that came on the CD Version 2.0. I was wondering for anyone whom is using it what settings have you changed to your buttons preference to accommodate your editing techniques? Here is what comes on cd. I am using it with Adobe Premiere 6.0
1) Lift 2) Default transition 3) Overlay source clips at edit line 4) Insert source at edit line 5) Go to previous 6) Reverse play 7) Stop 8) Forward play 9) Go to next edit 10) Clear in point/marker 11) Clear out point/marker 12) Toggle source and program 13) Toggle monitor and timeline 14) Set in point/marker 15) Set out point/marker Jog Dial Jog left>reverse frame Jog right>forward frame by frame Shutter > rewind.... And so on

I've just brought one today at VideoForum2007 and am trying to use it with Premiere Pro 2. Works with After Effects but not Premiere Pro 2.0. Anyone else had this issue?

Fixed
I've managed to solve this by setting the executable file to Premiere Pro 2 within the Premiere Pro edit clip option.
Richard - my default settings are the same as yours. Time for a play...... |

I've got version 1.0 and it works with premiere pro 2.0 perfectly, it even has 2 different settings that it switches between.

Download the latest setting files from their site as the CD that came with my Shuttle Pro didn't have PrPro 1.0-2.0 settings. I ended up customizing it anyhow, but it's good to start with the base setting.

For me, I found that I wanted a pair of buttons for timeline magnification as I am constantly zooming in and out to complete a small task and then move to a different part of the timeline and zoom in again...and so on.
I also find that having a key combination for copy/paste saves a LOT of steps. I also happen to have a key for Ctl-K, which creates a cut at the CTI through all clips on every track. It's handly for chopping up long clips on the timeline. TimK |
