What is red, and 9 frames long?

After shooting some "getting to know my new Cam" footage, I noticed a flash of red. Now that I have the footage captured into Premiere 2, I'm again seeing the same flash of red. It is about 9 frames in duration, but sort of cross fades from red to the actual footage. What is going on here?

Red??

Keith,
What's going on there sir? I have placed some calls within JVC to try and see what the issue may be on this camera.
As soon as I get some solid information I will shoot it your way!

Thanks,

When I'm done burning this DVD, I will grab the 9 frames, and a few before/after, and post them.

Here's the clip in question- www.video-alchemy.com/sequence 01.avi . For some reason, even after a manual white balance, the entire footage from this restarant is hella reddish. It color corrects pretty well though.

Done

Keith,
Ok sir. I just received a call from JVC Technical Support and we have concluded that your problem is not due to the JVC ProHD tape stock. Apparently it is an actual problem with the CCD's. Per our conversation we are resolving this issue for you today and you should be up to full strenght in the next couple of days!
Once again thank you for the patience and I will be in touch!

Regards,
Jason Price
