Sound Effects in Pro

Hey guys,

I have a scene in my film which I shot from underwater looking up at a dock, I also have footstep sound effects, I was wondering how in preimere pro, I could make the sound effect of the foot step sound like we're listening to it from underwater?? Thanks guys!

Adding Sound

Adobe Audition could probably do that? Not sure about PP.

It's not much, but hopefully it get will you started.
I know how to put sound files into my project, I was wondering if there was a way to manipulate the sound to make it sound like its underwater.

Send me a portion of the sound clip and I can add the effects for you if you want.

Here is a clip I compiled with music underwater with bubbles in the background.

And here is one I made with footsteps and an occasional wood creak with the bubbles in the background. If you don't like the way they sound, tell me what you want and I'd be glady to do it for you.

PPro2 supports VST effects: there are plenty of free ones floating on the web, so you can do what you want in PPro. Although it would arguably be slightly more straightforward done in an audio editor.

Basically you want to pitch shift it down, and then filter out the high frequences using an "EQ" plugin. But there will be some distortion plugins and perhaps subtle echo, that might also help.

Oh and a bubble or two wont go astray... :)

Edit: sorry for the appalling but genuininely unintentional bad pun in the first line of this post :(
