Changing type of Premiere project

I edited some time ago a slide show with Premiere Pro 1.5.1. The final output was a DV-tape. Now, I've been asked to make a HD-version of the same program, and presumably, I don't have to start from scratch.

What is the right way of changing the type of the project (with Premiere Pro 2.0)? Should I create some edit list and the read this list to a new project or how?

I think the best way would be to create a new project with the correct settings and import the old project into it.
