Audio problem in Premiere after rendering (etc)
Lucky enough to have new M1 Mac and Premiere 2022. All pretty good.
But I have a weird problem in that after rendering a timeline (or if the computer goes fully to sleep), the audio runs horribly slow, pitched way down (more than just a normal sample rate change) and very glitchy and the whole timeline fails to playback smoothly. A serious error. Fixing it seems to vary - sometimes fiddling with the sample rate in the audio hardware preferences fixes it, but not always, or in the sequence settings, similarly but the only solution that works consistently is to turn my hybrid digital / analogue mixed of and on again. Fortunately Premiere no longer needs to be re-launched to pick up the mixer again. Re-launching Premiere alone does not always work. I should say that the mixer is old and requires three adapters to get into the USB-C port but this worked fine on the older Mac, though that didn't need the final Thunderbolt to USB-C adapter. Could this be a part of the problem? I have checked sampling rates match throughout the system - sequence, Premiere, mixer, Mac out, all 48K. Anyone any ideas? |
