PP CC 2017 slow playback
I am finishing up my weekly show and tried to Warp Stabilize a 4K clip and had a warning. So I solved it another way. After this happened the software now has a delay when I hit space bar before it plays back.
Cleaned all my cache files and trashed preferences, no help. Anyone know a way to solve this? Last edited by Paul Cronin; February 1st, 2017 at 06:50 AM. |

Re: PP CC 2017 slow playback
Found out today working on a different project that it is just that project. So it has something to do with Warp Stabilizer giving a warning and screwing up the project.

Yeah, if the Warp Stabilizer gets a bad re-link, it screws up badly. This tends to happen on cameras that reset the clip number between card formats. (XAVC-S is a very bad offender when it comes to this. You can't set the clip prefix in XAVC-S)

Thanks Zack,
Sounds like the same problem but not using XAVC-S. Do you know how to clean it up? |

Re: PP CC 2017 slow playback
Place your source media into the same folder as your project with the same folder structure as when it was first imported. Make sure you have enough page file when re-linking too. If you run out of page file, re-linking some files can go terribly wrong.

Re: PP CC 2017 slow playback
Hi Zack,
I never have my media and project on the same drive, bad things happen when you do that. I have media on a 32TB Promis thunderbolt 2 drive and my project is on my Mac Pro (trash can) flash drive. This is the way I have had it for years and highly recommended by Larry Jordan. |

Re: PP CC 2017 slow playback
Well, I don't yet have experience with PPro CC on the Mac so I can't help there. The page file suggestion was based on Windows.
