After Effects 13.8 Crashes OS X 10.11.6
Hello -
This actually involves the following most recently updated Adobe Creative Cloud Programs: After Effects, Premiere Pro, Prelude and Media Encoder. If a user has installed recent updates to these programs and plans on updating Apple's OS X to 10.11.6, it is very likely that you will experience a crash when opening any of these programs. (That certainly was the case for me.) This is now a very known issue and apparently Adobe is working to correct it. The solution is relatively simple, though. Once a certain folder is deleted, which is found in the Contents folder of each of these programs, all is well again. It's the "Metal" folder. The entire folder needs to be deleted. And, deleting it does not effect performance (at least that has been my experience). Here is a link to Adobe's Community Support which gives detail to this situation. https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2183797
